TSRTC will change the color of city buses
Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has proposed to change the color of city buses on an experimental basis.
In order to revive the loss-making company, VC Sajjanar, the new CEO of TSRTC, proposed various measures to financially recover the transport organization hard hit by the covid pandemic. Sajjanar said that a new look and color has been proposed for the city buses.
It is learned that TSRTC’s Hyderabad unit suffers heavy losses due to the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdowns that followed. In order to improve the financial situation of the company, measures are taken. One of the steps is to change the color of city buses.
It should be noted that during the tenure of former general manager Dinesh Reddy fifteen years ago, the color of city buses changed from red to green. Even the color of the double-decker buses has been changed to green. However, later it was changed to red and white.
RTC officials believe the new color will be attractive and appeal to commuters. Officials said other color scheme ideas were being explored to give the city buses a new look. They further stated that if the new look is successful, the district buses will also be considered for a change in appearance.
