The NTR statue will be installed at the Lakaram Tank Bund in Khammam
The statue of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao is going to be installed at the Lakaram Tank Bund in Khammam. The Special Chief Secretary for Irrigation and CAD, Dr. Rajat Kumar, recently granted permission to install the legendary NTR star. Work related to the installation of the statue is going at a faster pace. The statue is 40 feet tall and NTR will be in the avatar of Krishna. The statue will be an added attraction at Lakaram Tank Bund. Recently, Telangana MAUD Minister KT Rama Rao inaugurated a cable-stayed suspension bridge across the reservoir.
Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar launched the project to the tune of Rs 3 crore. The centenary celebrations began on May 28 this year and will end on May 28 next year.
NRI, local leaders and NTR fans have formed a committee and are busy installing the statue. An artist from Nizamabad makes the statue of NTR representing him in “Krishnavataram”, one of the roles played by NTR.
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, Indian actor, filmmaker and politician who served as Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh for seven years out of three terms. He acted in over 300 films mostly in Telugu cinema and was called Viswa Vikhyatha Nata Sarwa Bhouma. He lived in the hearts of Telugu audiences. He impressed the audience with his strong acting skills and looks. He enjoys a huge fan following.
