Challaghatta is likely to be a vital depot for maintaining trains and supplying the Purple Line (Challaghatta-Whitefield). The proposed Kadugodi repository is close to Whitefield. It is also assumed that the current Byappanahalli depot will likely be repurposed to serve the ORR-Airport metro needs.
STUP Consultants Pvt. provides Detailed Design Consultancy (DDC) services for the Challaghatta Depot and Intermodal Integration Center (IMIH). The consultant will produce and propose alternative designs of all architectural works, construction services, electrical and mechanical works for the depot structures, such as the lairage yard, DCC and administration building, maintenance buildings and workshop and a multi-level parking structure.
