Mukesh Ambani

New Delhi: Billionaire Mukesh Ambani has no plans to move or reside in London or anywhere else in the world, his flagship company Reliance Industries Ltd said on Friday as it sought to quell speculation about the most family. rich man from India sharing time between UK and Mumbai.

He called reports of the Ambani family seeking to make Buckinghamshire’s 300-acre country club, Stoke Park their primary residence, “unwarranted and baseless speculation”.

“Reliance Industries Limited would like to point out that the president and his family have no plans to relocate or reside in London or elsewhere in the world,” the company said in a statement.

Post Reliance acquired the London property for Rs 592 crore, Ambani and his family’s visit abroad enabled them to make Stoke Park their second home. They live in a 400,000 square foot Altamount Road residence, Antilia, Mumbai.

“The RIL group company, RIIHL, which recently acquired the Stoke Park estate, wishes to clarify that its acquisition of the heritage property aims to enhance it as a leading golf and sports resort, while fully respecting town planning guidelines and local regulations, ”the statement said.

However, he did not comment on Ambani’s frequent visits abroad.

“This acquisition will add to the group’s fast growing consumer business. At the same time, it will also expand the footprint of India’s famous hotel industry globally,” the statement added.
