Minor administrative reorganization in Punjab, 4 IAS officers get new assignments – eGov Magazine
On October 21, the Punjab government ordered the transfer and assignment of four IAS officers with immediate effect, resulting in a minor administrative overhaul. The list of transferred agents and their new assignments are as follows:
Veerendra Kumar Meena (IAS 1997-Batch) was transferred and appointed secretary of the Punjab State Human Rights Commission. He will also hold the additional post of Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, Jalandhar.
Parneet Shergil (IAS 2013-Lot) has been moved and assigned to the charge of Managing Director, PEPSU Road Transport Corporation (PRTC), Patiala.
Amit Talwar (IAS 2013-Batch) has been transferred and given the post of Additional Secretary, Agriculture and the additional post of Managing Director, Markfed.
Uma Shankar Gupta (IAS 2015-Batch) will assume the position of additional CEO, Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion. He will also assume the additional responsibilities of Additional Managing Director, Punjab INFOTECH, and Additional Secretary, Science, Technology and Environment.
