LSP Transport, LLC (LSPT) crowned North American Safety Champion
HOUSTON – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – National Tank Truck Carriers has named LSP Transport, LLC (LSPT) North American Division Safety Champion for Sutherland. NTTC’s annual award recognizes tanker truck operations in North America with the best safety programs and records each year and sets the benchmark for safety in the tanker industry. The NTTC is the only national organization that focuses specifically on the tanker industry. The North American Safety Competition, which awards the Heil Trophy, recognizes tanker operations in North America that excel in nine different categories.
Joe Maple, HSE Director of LSPT, accepted the Heil Trophy, saying, “These awards don’t happen without a lot of work behind the scenes. We have a great company… starting at the top. Winners are determined by their safety records, safety and preventive maintenance programs, personnel safety programs and records, and contributions to the tanker industry and general causes of road safety. LSPT won its trophy with a frequency of 0.344 accidents per million miles in the 5-7 million mile class of the competitive safety competition, and also won a grand prize in the personnel safety competition.
