Israeli forces reinforced their siege on Gaza by adding a robotic tank to the arsenal of weapons and stationed military personnel further strengthening their siege on Gaza.

The tank is called the Jaguar and has the ability to transport itself to pre-defined destinations, is armed with a machine gun that can deploy both lethal and non-lethal projectiles such as regular and rubber-coated bullets, cameras and the ability to self-destruct if in the hands of anyone who is not authorized to control it. The tank is also capable of navigating terrain, bypassing bumps and obstacles using sensors and an advanced driving system. According to the Eurasian Times New agency.

The Gaza border is already a very difficult barrier to cross. In addition to drones, sensor-infused “smart fences” guarded by troops and armored vehicles, SentryTech towers armed with .50 caliber remote machine guns that have the ability to destroy unarmored vehicles, Israel has recently added tanks. who can behave autonomously.

Ground soldiers also stand at the Gaza fence, along with soldiers in watchtowers who are known to shoot at farmers and fishermen they believe are too close to the siege fence. There are no defined borders, however Palestinians are not allowed to be within 300 meters of the mile-wide buffer zone that has been unilaterally designated by Israel.

This restriction on movement is proving dangerous for farmers, who are forced to leave the land they cultivate when soldiers open fire on them if they are deemed too close to the buffer zone. As recently as late June 2021, it was reported that farmers and fishermen were being shot at with live ammunition, forcing them to give up their jobs.

Since 2006, Israel has imposed an air, land and sea blockade on Gaza, which has resulted in a shortage of food and resources as well as 80 percent of the survival of 80 percent of the population dependent on international aid.
