MOSCOW, January 20. /TASS/. The West’s claims about Russia’s alleged preparations for an invasion of Ukraine are being used as an information cover-up to plot its own provocations, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Thursday.
“Western and Ukrainian media and officials have become increasingly engaged in rumors of an imminent Russian invasion of Ukraine. That is how they phrase it. We are certain that this crusade is aimed at create a cover-up of information to prepare their own provocations, including those of a military nature, which can have the most tragic consequences for regional and global security,” the spokesperson explained.
Moscow’s fears are confirmed by the true inflammatory acts of the West, the diplomat stressed.
“Britain has been delivering weapons aboard its air force military transport planes to Ukraine for several days now. At least six flights have been organized and each plane can carry up to 77, 5 tons of cargo on board, or about 460 tons of armaments in total,” said the spokesperson.
