Battlefield 2042 Vehicle List: All Tanks, Helicopters, Jets, and More
One of the main things that sets Battlefield apart from other shooting games and makes it one of the best Xbox shooter games available is its military vehicle suite. Things are no different in Battlefront 2042, as there are a wide variety of different vehicles to choose from when you spawn (you can also drop them off at your location on demand using the Battlefield 2042 vehicle calling system).
Before you jump into the Battlefield 2042 beta, it’s a good idea to know what types of vehicles you’ll encounter (or use) in the field. Here’s a full list of every Battlefield 2042 vehicle we know of so far, along with an explanation of the role each fulfills in combat situations.

Here’s the full list of all the vehicles you can use in Battlefield 2042:

Note that not all vehicles will be available on all maps, and there may be maps where no vehicle is available (similar to Operation Locker from Battlefield 4).
Battlefield 2042 vehicles: Tanks and armored vehicles
Battlefield 2042 tanks and armored vehicles fulfill the role of supporting infantry soldiers with significant firepower and transport.
The most dangerous and powerful land vehicles are the M1A5 tank and the T28 tank, both equipped with heavy 120mm cannons as well as a coaxial machine gun to engage infantry. The tanks also come with two additional gunner positions and an observer position for other players entering the tank. To counter locked explosives and mask its position, tanks can deploy smoke as a countermeasure.
The E6-JGR Recon (and potentially the Hovercraft vehicle) fulfills the role of transporting soldiers on the map. Its light armor is effective against most small arms fire, but explosives and other heavy weapons can destroy it quickly. However, its high speed helps it avoid damage, and there’s also a minigun on top of the vehicle that a second player can control. This weapon shreds infantry targets and is ideal for providing cover fire when deploying troops.
The EBAA Wildcat is a specialized anti-aircraft vehicle that is armed with a deadly anti-aircraft minigun and missiles that can lock onto planes. It is well armored, but it is considerably less resistant than a main battle tank. Notably, his minigun is also effective against infantry targets. Like tanks, it can deploy smoke to disrupt the tracking of incoming explosives or obscure its exact position.
Battlefield 2042 vehicles: Helicopters
Battlefield 2042 helicopters are designed to fulfill the role of close air support and rapid transport.
The deadliest helicopters in the game are the Apache Warchief AH640GX attack helicopter and the KA-520 Super Hokum, both equipped with rockets and hand-aiming missiles that can lock onto vehicles. These helicopters have average armor, speed and maneuverability, which makes them a very well balanced aircraft.
If you want to transport troops across the map, your best bet is to use a transport helicopter like the MV-38 Condor. These helicopters have heavy armor and can take a lot of damage, but also have the slowest top speed and poor maneuverability. They don’t have heavy weaponry, but there are miniguns and grenade launchers that players can control to provide devastating cover fire to the disembarking troops.
Finally, reconnaissance helicopters like the MD540 Nightbird are the best in terms of speed and agility, but they have poor armor and cannot carry as many troops as a transport helicopter. Their armament is solid, however, with miniguns and double rockets very effective against infantry and lightly armored vehicles.
All helicopters can deploy flares to counter incoming missiles that are locked onto the plane.
Battlefield 2042 vehicles: Jets
Battlefield 2042’s jets serve a variety of roles, including strafing ground targets, destroying enemy helicopters, and keeping the skies clear of other jets.
Jets like the F-35 and SU-57 are armed with miniguns and deadly missiles that can lock onto enemy vehicles, dealing heavy damage if they hit. They are suitably armored, but will descend relatively quickly with a few missiles or sustained fire from an EBAA Wildcat anti-aircraft vehicle. Like helicopters, jets can deploy flares to counter incoming missiles.
Battlefield 2042 vehicles: Civil vehicles
Finally, Battlefield 2042 includes a small assortment of civilian vehicles, including a pickup truck, rickshaw, and ATV. These vehicles can be destroyed very quickly with most weapons, especially heavy ones, but they are very fast and can be used to quickly transport troops in the blink of an eye. Due to their vulnerability, it’s best to avoid combat altogether when using them.
